GAS TURBINE

This gas turbine is of the two shaft type, with a separate gas generator and a power turbine, developing a maximum electric power of 3.5kW. The fuel can be any fuel gas, propane, butane, natural gas, etc.

The power turbine is coupled through one belt to a synchronous motor that is first synchronised with the grid. The power produced can be injected into the grid or fed into a bank load.

The turbine is instrumented with a comprehensive monitoring, control and safety system and software.

The monitoring system covers the following variables:

  • Power turbine developed electric power;
  • Power turbine speed;
  • Gas generator speed;
  • Temperature of the gases at the combustion chamber outlet;
  • Temperature of the gases at the power turbine inlet;
  • Gases pressure at the outlet of the combustion chamber;
  • Gas fuel flow rate;
  • Air flow rate;
  • Pressure loss at the air inlet filter;
  • The model allows the complete study of an actual working turbine as well as the tracing of the Bryton diagram and thermal efficiency determination.
